FRESH FROM a triumphant visit to Listowel Writer’s Week, Truman Town Theatre’s Shortcut To Hallelujah makes a welcome return to the Town Hall Theatre for a five night run.

GALWAY AUTHORS Yvonne McEvaddy and Rejini Samuel will launch their new novels at the Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering at The Kitchen, Galway City Museum, on Wednesday May 9 at 8pm.

VELVET REVOLUTION, the new play by Mick Donnellan, will be staged in the Town Hall Theatre Studio from Tuesday April 10 to Saturday 14 at 8.30pm.

Truman Town Theatre bring their new play, Velvet Revolution to the Valkenburg Hotel from Wednesday March 28 for five nights, ending on Sunday April 1. BALLINROBE NATIVE Mick Donnellan must surely be one of the busiest writers based in Galway. Over the past year he has staged three of his plays at the Town Hall - Sunday Morning Coming Down, Shortcut to Hallelujah, and Gun Metal Grey, all of which were enthusiastically received.

MICK DONNELLAN, the playwright behind Sunday Morning Coming Down and Shortcut to Halleljuah, is about to launch his debut novel.

Next week sees the opening of John Patrick Shanley’s prize-winning play Doubt: a Parable at the Town Hall, a highpoint of the venue’s current season.
